Dad's visit and misc.

Dad came to visit for a week. We had a good time and I'm so glad he got to visit. I can tell he is missing mom and so am I.

We visited the Marine Corp museum which is really close to us and learned a lot. And we took a trip out to the Manassas Civil War battlefield. That was really interesting.

A few weeks ago I ordered my new walking foot so that I can straight line quilt on my home machine. This is what it looks like:
I finished my red and white table quilt or wall hanging right away!

It is approx. 22" square. I got this kit when I was in San Marcos. You use Thangles to make the HST. Thangles are strips of paper that you sew strips of fabric to and then just cut them apart. It is a bit easier then cutting squares, sewing then trimming.

I have also finished my tetris quilt, but haven't taken any pictures yet.

Ethan has his first choir concert next week. This is the picture I got of him on the first day of 9th grade. Not to excited!

That's all folks.

  2. Mom- I wish you blogged in more detail! I love reading your blog and it kills me that you don't spend hours blogging every single detail :) I forgot Grandpa was going out there! I'm glad he got to do that. Wish we were there! Love your itty bitty quilt!
